JASON HARD AT WORK
jason has been working hard since he left Metallica. Since then he has been playing bass on the Moss Brothers CD as well as on his own bands Echobrain release. Latest news is that he will be playing bass and producing the new Voivod album as well, and today I just heard that he will do the same for Speedealer.
Newsted is entering the studio with Texas' Speedealer. He's taking on a new role as producer on the band's upcoming album of power guitar rock, a sound that grabbed Newsted, who claims, “Speedealer is the first heavy band worthy of my 110 percent commitment since Metallica.” Currently, the Dallas quartet are crafting their record tentatively titled Second Sight, which is slated to come out in spring 2002 on Palm Records.
