FAN CAN #5 IN THE WORKS
As reported on the fanclub site, Fan Can 5 is coming together and it promises to satisfy the most die-hard Met Fan. We can't tell you much, but the club is saying that they're finding some great live stuff from the early '80's in Lars' attic, and the early years will be the overall theme of the can.

Fan can #4. Photo: Sem Hadland This sounds promissing, hopefully we will get some live stuff fron San Francisco November 1982 where they did some excellent shows. The version they did there of "Seek & destroy" with the "Metal up you ass" bridge is killer. If we're lucky there will be some studio demos as well, but it will be hard for Lars to find some exclusive video footage from that time as almost nothing excists, except for the bits and pieces already available on the "Cliff 'em all" video.

For those of you who don't know, The FanCans are released by the fanclub and sold only to members in a limited time. Each Tin can includes a CD with rare live or studio stuff, a video, a t-shirt and some extra goodies. So far the cans have included a Metalica bottle opener, a Metallica rain poncho and a fanclub dog-tag. If you are not a member of the club, go here and sign up now.

The set is planned to be released in Spring of 2002.
