RELEASE DATES
The album Metallica are recording in the studio right now had a "late 2002 / early 2003" release date. It now seems that it will not be released before next year, as the official online shop writes in their latest newsletter: ".... and we all look forward to the new record in 2003!". Lars also stated in a video on the Jump in the fire website that it will be on the streets before July next year. The magic date will be between January and July 2003. Sorry, I can not give you a more detailed date than that as it doesn't excist. I will post the final date here as soon as I know.
The next song by Metallica however will see the light of day on CD this year, just in time to land under a christmas tree near you. The release date for the Ramones tribute CD featuring "53rd & 3rd" played by Metallica will be in stores at the 24th of December. Other bands on the disc will be Kiss, Rob Zombie, U2, Marilyn Manson and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
