Two days ago I posted here that Metallica might had some touringplans. Was I right or what? The first date is already set, and remember where you read it first, at your favourite Metallica site, "Encyclopedia Metallica"!
Metallica plays Roskilde Festival in Denmark next year - their only performance in Scandinavia (Norway, Denmark, Sweden) next summer. The festival is from the 26th to the 29th of June and is the largest festival when it comes to bands. About 120 bands and artists play on the different stages each year.
What does this mean? Probably that the band are planning to do a short European festival tour, playing all important festivals here, followed by a tour in the largest cities in the states. Again, I am only guessing.
Why Roskilde? It is close to Copenhagen, Denmark where Lars lived as a kid, he also have a new big house in the area. Metallica played there in 1986 and 1999, two excellent concerts.
I will again recomend every one of you who plan to see the band live in concert anytime in the future to join the fanclub. I think the price is small compared to all the stuff you get, and the backstage passes I have received when I have been on gigs has been a really nice bonus.
