REVIEW: NONE BLACKER CD
"None blacker - A tribute to Metallica" is a new tribute CD released by the small and rather unknown label Perris Records. The label have a few bands under their wings which here tries to do Metallica songs their own way, or as close to the original as possible. Without success. There are some good tribute albums out there, this one is not one of them, and I suspect the reason for this disc not to be a tribute, but to promote and spread the bands to a larger public, somethng the seven tracks with samples from other Perris releases should be a evidence of.

"None Blacker" featuring members of Lillian Axe, Every Mother's Nightmare, Near Life Experience, Enertia, Animal Mother, Divine Ruins, Brutal Faith, & Blessed Agony

The songs do kick some ass, but it is far from the original. Yes, Metallica is the best band to play Metallica songs!

Having that said, I would recomend the tribute albums below, Metallic Assault even have Rob Trujillo playing bass on some songs before he joined Metallica.

- Apocalyptica - Plays Metallica by Four Cellos
- Punk Tribute to Metallica
- Metallic Assault: A Tribute to Metallica
