image and words from metclub.com. So, with a few magic calls to management, and several, I mean several, calls to Tony Squindo (thanks buddy) the quest began. But they must be done in our usual kick maximum ass way that we always do things. We want Kirk's foot on a wah pedal, James to have chops, Lars' double bass drums, and don't forget the Trujillo stance! In other words we wanted to capture them in action, not just in a pose (oh my God, I said the P word).
So went through a lot of prototypes, concepts, drawings, (made those into shirts and posters), more drawings, more concepts blah blah blah. To all those who are wondering, YES there were prototypes out for sale before we were NOT completely satisfied with, and YES they were made by a different company. YES they were recalled, and YES, we finally have the new ones done!!
