The concert was scheduled to start at 8PM. We arrived at the Spectrum and got our tickets which we had purchased through the metclub. No problem here, we got the tickets and found our seats. We had seats the first concert and unnumbered the second.

Godsmack opened the concert and did an honest job. The music is okay, but not something I'll go crazy about. They did however, have a kickass drum solo where singer played on a second drum kit.

Godsmack finished their set and Metallica was next. Yeah! The ecstasy of gold started around 9.05pm and then the intro to Blackened started. Great opening song and then straight into The four horsemen which sounded really brilliant.

Many songs were the same as the summer tours, although they were moved around in the setlist. But here and there some different songs appeared. The unnamed feeling made its European debut and it sounded really good as James said before they played.

Right before Blitzkrieg James started to play the riff to The frayed ends of sanity while he pounded away on one of Lars' bass drums. A great moment. Then they played Blitzkrieg and ended with a killer performance of Hit the lights.

A fucking great concert. Great songs, good sound and a truly joy from Metallica to play live.
