The big question for the second night was: "How could they possibly beat the
first concert?"
Answer: By starting with Fight fire with fire. That was unbelievable. An
amazing performance of the song and some great double bass from Lars. He
played a lot better the second night. The setlist was very different from
the first night, which was really, really good. They played great songs
like: The thing that should not be, Fuel, Fade to black and Ride the
lightning.
Dirty Window made its live debut and it sounded amazing. Even better that
the unnamed feeling. The crowd was really into it and everybody clapped
along to the "I'm judge, and I'm jury..." part.
There were many more pyros this night than the first. Especially during the
intro to One. Many bombs were blown up and fire shooting up from the floor.
One sounded good, as always, but I wonder why Kirk has made some changes to
his solo that is played right after the second
"hold my breath as I wish for death, Oh please, God, wake me" part.
But we can't really start to question that man. He is after all a guitar
god. I stood right in front of his main spot during the whole concert and
you can really tell that he, as well as the rest of the band, truly enjoys
playing live. You can tell by their expression that the performance comes
from the heart. The way it should be, right!!!
Anyway, right before Nothing else matters Lars played the opening part on
Kirks guitar, as usual. But this night was bit different. Lars put on Kirks
guitar and Kirk started to play on Lars' drumkit. They played a little bit
of "Am I evil", but not much. But it was a great moment.
The last two songs were So What and a killer version of Whiplash. The song I
had hoped to hear during the two shows.
Check out that setlist. What more could you ask for???
Best concert I've ever been to. EVER!
