JUSTICE FOR ALL- THE TRUTH ABOUT METALLICA
Joel McIver reports in a press release: The career of the seventh-biggest recording act on the planet will be chronicled in April 2004 in Justice For All: The Truth About Metallica, a weighty 472-page hardback by writer Joel McIver. Published by the industry heavyweight Omnibus Press, the book, McIver’s sixth, is the result of over five years of research and contains unpublished material from around 75 interviews which the author carried out in order to tell the most in-depth history of the band ever published. “There’s a huge gap in the market for a really detailed Metallica biography,” the author told us. “Justice For All addresses several of the most common Metallica myths — what the band’s real part was in the rise of thrash metal, what really happened on the night of bassist Cliff Burton’s death, the truth about their softer, more recent music, and so on.
