Lars Ulrich with Deep Purple
Lars ulrich was on stage with Deep Purple member Ian Gillen last week.
According to one eyewitness report at the Metclub.com forum, Ian invited Lars to the stage and said Lars kept him drinking untill 4:00 a.m. in the morning the night before... Our drummer sat behind the drums and they played 'Smoke On The Water' just before the encore.
We all know what kind of an impact Deep Purple had in Lars' life, it was even the first band he saw in concert. Lars did a great job. Gillan's current five-week North American run is in support of "Gillan's Inn", which he released to celebrate 40 years in the music business. Deep Purple is currently on a break from a planned two-year-long world tour behind their latest album, "Rapture of the Deep".
