A new tribute CD will soon see the light of day. This time it is a CD
produced by students from La Frontalière High School, located in Coaticook,
Québec, Canada. “Teach ‘Em All: A High School Tribute To Metallica” will
be released on Friday May the 23rd 2008.
I have heard three of the songs and must say that I am impressed by these your students. The instruments are played very well and close to the original Metallica recordings. The production is also very good with clear sound. You can hear every instrument in there. The vocal is what makes this different, all songs has a young aspect.
The goal of this non-profitable project is to give talented young
students the experience of creating a music album from start to finish. They
also try to help them discover, and appreciate a kind of music that they aren't
usually accustomed to - different from what the usual Top 40 and radio hits.
All the singers are regular students from the High School and the
musicians are all former students of that same school.
For this year’s project there will be two
very talented musicians on board. First, Angelo Coppola from Detroit, a 12 year
old drummer. He was the winner of the TV show
"America’s Most Talented Kids" a couple of years ago. He will play on 2
songs. Also, John JD DeServio from
"Black Label Society" and "Cycle Of Pain" JD will also play on 2 songs on
the CD.
