James Hetfield and family had a one week holiday in Bergen before the concert on the 16th on june. The Norwegian newspaper Bergensavisen meet both James and kirk downtown days before the show.
James was with his family. Fife Francesca and their 3 kids Cali, Castor og Marcella. They were looking at the city, the old houses and did some souvenir shopping. They were also looking for a good fish restaurant.
Kirk Hammett was drinking a Guiness beer on the port of Bergen at Bryggen together with a roadie. He smiled and said that the town was wonderful and he didn't mind the rain.
Bryggen in Bergen was rebuilt after a fire in 1702. The buildings that form Bryggen were done in the style of the medieval buildings that stood on the site prior to the fire.
