Metallica's first album in five years will take the number 1 slot on the U.S. charts when sales data are issued on Wednesday, according to preliminary estimates.
Death Magnetic sold 450,000-500,000 copies during the first week, despite being on sale for only three days.
Metallica is at the top of the charts all over the world including Norway and England.
