Easily the best show I've ever been too. And thats not just the hit of blotter i took a half hour before Sword came on either. When the lights dim and those first couple of demonic notes of "This was Just Your Life" sound throughout Value City Arena in Columbus, the thunderous crowd roars and goosebumps come over the Meatllica-Heads. James' vocals were a litlle buried at first, but the sound guys fixed that pretty quick. As Metallica jumped right into the second track on the new album, "The End of The Line" I thought they may have played the whole album before they re-hashed some classics, but that was not the case cause as James said "let us play some of our old shit" they jumped right into 'creeping death' and then "ride the lightning" which was a pleasent surprise.

I must say the energy breathing throughout the band looked as if they were still on the 'and justice for all' tour. One of the other coolest features of the show were the four giant caskets that displayed lights and even shapes of crosses during 'master of puppetz." Throughout the set the caskets would lower and level out right above the band, then raise back up, it was cool as hell. But I must say I wasn't surprised that we heard nothing off of Load, Reload, or St. Anger, probably in support of Death Demonic, only one song from that era from 1998's Garage Inc. was the misfits cover "Die Die My Darling." Me being a Metallica- Head, the show was a constant full body orgasm. Here is the set list in no paticular order. This was just your life, The end of the line, Creeping Death, Ride the Lightning, Sad but True, Broken, Beat and Scarred, Jump in the Fire, Leper Messiah, Master of Puppets, Battery, One, Wherever I may Roam, Enter Sandman, Nothing Else Matters, The day that never comes, Cyanide, A National Acrobat Sabbath Jam, Die Die My Darling, Seek and Destroy.
