Friday, March 20, 2009 will go down in music history as a very interesting night for the people of Austin, TX. That was the evening that Metallica “snuck” into Stubb’s BBQ (restaurant and indoor/outdoor concert venue) and played a 90-minute set to a crowd of only 2100 at the renowned South By Southwest (SXSW) Music and Entertainment Conference. Obviously the show will be deemed a highlight in the lives of those in attendance, for how often does anyone these days get an opportunity to say, “Yeah, I saw Metallica in a club”?
