==== LAWSUIT AGAINST THE LINGERIE GIGANT ==========================
Metallica and Victoria's Secret will take their spat over lip pencils to
court in the year 2000, according to the band's attorney, Jill Pietrini of
Manatt, Phelps, and Phillips, LLC.

Metallica filed a lawsuit against the lingerie giant in the California
Western Division of the United States District Court back in January
(allstar, Jan. 15) over the use of lip pencils whose color is listed as
"Metallica" in the Victoria's Secret catalog. The suit cited trademark
infringement, false designation of origin, unfair competition, and
dilution. The two sides have been unable to reach an agreement in the
battle over the last few months, and it will now be left in the hands of a
judge.

A pre-trial conference in the case is scheduled for March 27, 2000 with
the trial scheduled to begin on April 25, 2000.

==== GIG REPORT ===================================================
DATE/PLACE: 8 May - Sao Paulo (Brazil)
DATE/PLACE: 9 May - Rio de Janeiro (Brazil)

The best two days of my life! I have no words to describe what I saw on
May 8 and 9. I travelled 7 hours by bus to São Paulo, arrived there at 5
a.m. and waited until the begining of the show, at 9 p.m. Sepultura opened
( the two nights, in Rio de Janeiro and in São Paulo) and destroyed
everything!! Kicked ass! But we all had a lot of energy left for the best
band on this planet! The show started with Ecstasy of Gold and then James
began with Breadfan killer riff. Man, believe me, I can´t describe it.
Only who have ever seen Metallica live before understands what I´m saying.
The show in Rio had more visual effects and only in Rio, Jason played
Roots Bloody Roots with Sepultura. Watching the two best bands in the
world (in my opinion) was a dream come true for me. That´s it. All I have
more to say
is thank you Sepultura and, of course, METALLICA for the best weekend of
my life.

P.S:Thank you, Lars, for the stick!

TRACK LIST (the same on both shows):
     BREADFAN
     MASTER OF PUPPETS (full version)
     OF WOLF AND MAN
THE THING THAT SHOULD NOT BE
     FUEL
     THE MEMORY REMAINS
     BLEEDING ME
     THE FOUR HORSEMEN
     FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS
     KING NOTHING
     WHEREVER I MAY ROAM
     ONE
     FIGHT FIRE WITH FIRE
     NOTHIN ELSE MATTERS
     SAD BUT TRUE
     CREEPING DEATH
     DIE DIE MY DARLIN
     ENTER SANDMAN
     BATTERY
